Being Ethiopian

While I've been away for 10 days on grandfather duty (poor me) Chris has been up to something very Ethiopian. As I only arrived back this morning nothing has been written by me yet but I'll get round to it once I have set up my Logitech racing steering wheel with my laptop and the 2014 Formula 1 grand prix simulation game. I always was one to get my priorities right.

Holiday Photos

Back from Holiday

We're just back from five days holiday  in Tanzania then a weekend doing "orientation" with SIM at the Babogaya retreat some 70km south of Addis. I'll sort out my photos and create a gallery for next weekend. Meanwhile here's a little something from Chris about events before half term.

Matters of Power

Power has been a constant problem recently and I needed to work out how to keep my medical records from being damaged all the time. Chris has had a "normal" week so hasn't blogged this week - nobody chucked paint at her.

We will be going on holiday next week as it's half term here so we may be quiet for a week or two, but I hope to be back with lots of lovely pictures from a Tanzanian national park.

New Year Electricity Woes

we celebrated the Ethiopian New Year this week, with a day off. We have trouble with electricity and Internet, and I ask why Ethiopia has a different calendar from the rest of the world. I found it interesting - I hope you do too!
