There is great national pride over the skeleton of a young female bipedal hominid who lived in Ethiopia over 2 million years ago. Her name is Lucy and her discovery revolutionised scientific understanding of human evolution. Here's a model of her skeleton (the brown bits are the bits of bone that were dug up). She's looking upwards and she was quite small - as normal-sized Aaron shows.
