Little defines Ethiopian culture more uniquely than New Year. Well that was today (11th September), so here are some of the goings-on, along with a few minutes of HD video from my dash cam.

At no other time of year do so many things happen in such quick succession that are so peculiarly Ethiopian. And it’s definitely not a good time to be a sheep, a goat or a chicken.
